Thus With A Kiss I Die

Kadell Moore

Thus With A Kiss I Die reimagines Romeo and Juliet across three images, compressing the arc of the story from first meeting to the confession of love to death. The casting of two women updates the story’s central romance, while Victorian costuming adds a further temporal displacement from Shakespeare’s Elizabethan setting. Together these choices frame the work as a modern interpretation of a classical tragedy — familiar enough to be legible, reframed enough to feel new.
