Two Sides Of The Same Coin

Aspen Lalonde

A high-noise black and white photograph depicting a full-body, heavily blurred silhouette of a person, viewed from behind, partially contained within a large translucent white rectangular overlay. The figure stands in an expansive outdoor field with leafless trees and a dramatic, cloudy sky, while a smaller, blurry figure is faintly visible in the far left background.

Two Sides of the Same Coin is a black-and-white photographic series exploring creative burnout and its aftermath. The work sits with two seemingly opposing forces: the confrontation of loss and the search for inner peace. Each photograph represents one face of the coin — the rawness of facing what has been lost against the quiet work of acceptance. The series invites the viewer to flip that coin, sitting with the possibility that confrontation and concord are not opposites, but reflections of each other.

About The Artist

A digital graphic featuring the word 'Inhale' in bold white uppercase letters, centered. Directly below, the word 'Exhale' in white uppercase letters gradually fades from solid to transparent. The background is a vertical gradient from dark blue-grey at the top to light blue-grey and white at the bottom, with a uniform subtle grainy texture throughout.
