The concept for 6 Cafes in the 6ix comes from my ever-growing collection of café photography. Cafés have always been a source of inspiration for me, serving as creative spaces for many of my projects. In this series, I explore the unique ways cafés can be captured, both inside and out.
This project focuses on highlighting the similarities and differences between cafés in various locations. I chose to photograph elements common to every café – such as the coffee machine and the payment counter – while also capturing something unique to each space, such as an art installation, small decorative details, and even unexpected critters that have become part of the café’s charm.
