Beautiful Insecurities

A composite image with two distinct panels. The left panel shows a close-up of wavy, light brown hair flowing downwards, partially obscuring an ear against a plain light gray background. The right panel is a detailed close-up of a mature dandelion seed head (puffball) with many delicate white feathery seeds, some detaching, set against a blurred green and brown natural background.

Beautiful Insecurities is a series of diptychs pairing physical insecurities of the artist with corresponding aspects of the natural world. Each pairing invites a reframing — not to dismiss or minimize the insecurity, but to place it in dialogue with something that carries its own quiet beauty. The series asks whether the same eye that finds beauty in nature might learn to find it closer to home.

About The Artist

A textured gradient background transitions from dark blue-grey at the top to light blue-grey and white at the bottom. The word 'Inhale' is displayed prominently in solid white text, while directly below it, the word 'Exhale' appears in white text that gradually fades into transparency from left to right and top to bottom, suggesting a breath flowing out.
