My project delves into the candid portrayal of city life through street photography, capturing the essence of people in their urban habitat. These snapshots aim to reveal the intricate stories of individuals who inhabit these bustling landscapes. In my pursuit, I aim to unveil the influence of our surroundings on our identities, showcasing the diverse and singular paths each person treads. Engaging in conversations, I endeavour to understand their experiences. Yet, at times, due to various reasons, exchanging contact information to share the photos isn’t always possible. As such, this project has been a journey in understanding the boundaries and ethics of street photography. Recognizing these ethics, I have navigated with mindfulness, aiming always to respect people’s privacy and dignity. Untitled Encounters has nudged me to consider these ethical dimensions, constantly prompting me to share what I see, while being mindful of how it may impact those I photograph.
