Fabrication follows Angelica’s experience with anxiety, as she has dealt with these feelings for the majority of her life. The sheer cloth being used in each frame is meant to represent containment, being “stuck” in this set mindset, and trying to find a way to get out of a never-ending emotional nightmare. Drawing inspiration from personal experience, dreams, and the subconsciousness, Angelica’s work invites viewers on a journey of introspection and wonder. Through the use of fabricated images, she explores themes of identity, memory, and perception, demonstrating being confined with anxiety and how easily reality can be distorted.
