Derived from the word ‘texture’, TURE reimagines Toronto’s buildings as a city in constant construction, inspired by the structured playfulness of LEGO manuals. By deconstructing urban landmarks into essential building blocks, this project offers both a playful and analytical look at the city’s architectural fabric.

Using Blender’s Cycles, EEVEE, and Workbench engines, TURE breaks down Toronto’s structures into three layers: detailed, basic, and schematic, revealing hidden textures, materials, and modular foundations. This transformation turns each building into more than just architecture; it becomes a blueprint for reflection on creation, evolution, and decay.

Through this process, TURE blurs the line between reality and imagination, inviting viewers to reconstruct mundane landmarks piece by piece. The project turns urban spaces into a playground of possibility, where every landmark is a foundation for new perspectives.
