While they are two different projects, Sketches And Ramblings and Not My Eyes are both photographic explorations of the body and of the self.
As a fictional, found-image project, Sketches And Ramblings came to life through the use of long exposure and dust on the lens of the camera. The story invites the viewer to explore these “found images” in an attempt to figure out what happened to the mysterious owner of this journal.
Looking in the mirror and not recognizing the face in the reflection – that is the state in which we find the mysterious detective in Not My Eyes. With a focus on staged set pieces, the story follows the detective as he tackles his most haunting case, and deals with the feeling of someone else’s eyes meeting his in the mirror.
